CHADRON – About 40 ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College students and several faculty will participate with the third annual ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State Park Bioblitz Friday and Saturday at ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State Park, according to Amber Schiltz, Nebraska Wildlife Education Coordinator with the Bird Conservancy.

CHADRON – The newly renovated Elliott Field at Beebe Stadium will be dedicated during an official ceremony Saturday. The ceremony, which is free and open to the public, is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. near the south gates. Scheduled speakers include ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College President Randy Rhine, ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State Foundation Board Chair Marjean Terrell, and Nebraska State College System Chancellor Stan Carpenter.

CHADRON – An exhibition of selected artworks from the Sheldon Museum of Art at the University of Nebraska titled “Family Style” opens in ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College’s Memorial Hall Main Gallery Friday, Aug. 31. The free exhibit is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until Sept. 30.

CHADRON – English Assistant Professor Steve Coughlin’s second book of poetry will be published in December. “Driving at Twilight,” has a central theme of motion, movement and the fear of standing still, according to Coughlin who joined ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College’s faculty in 2015. The book is now available for presale.
