CHADRON – “Compact Rhythms,” an exhibition from the Sheldon Museum of Art at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will be in Memorial Hall’s Main Gallery Sept. 2-29. The ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College Galaxy Series is sponsoring the exhibit. Hours for the Gallery are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

CHADRON – ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College graduate Kevin Zhang of Alliance, Nebraska, is completing an internship with the United Nations this summer. Zhang, who is in his third year of law school at the University of Nebraska, was part of CSC’s inaugural Rural Law Opportunities Program (RLOP) cohort, and will conclude his full-time, remote internship by the end of September.

CHADRON – New and returning ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College faculty members were welcomed during an all campus video conference Aug. 14. In the School of Professional Studies and Applied Sciences, new faculty include Dr. Jung Colen, Adam Fette, Joanne Hayes, and Dr. Irasema Ortega, who was hired last semester.

CHADRON – The Project Strive program at ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College has received a U.S. Department of Education five-year renewal grant. The amount of the grant is $285,000 annually.

CHADRON – ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College will be virtually co-hosting the One Big Thanks conference, a national event, with Texas A&M Oct. 24. The Big Event intern Emily Hansen of Hemingford, Nebraska, said CSC students led by Dr. Shaunda French-Collins have attended the One Big Thanks conference in College Station, Texas, since CSC first started hosting The Big Event, an annual spring day of service, in 2013. Registration information and the conference agenda will be available.
