CHADRON – “That Which Connects Us,” an exhibition by Nebraska artist Keith Buswell, is now on display at the ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College Main Gallery in Memorial Hall through Feb. 14. “That Which Connects Us” is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the week.

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Chapter of the Soil & Water Conservation Society (SWCS), the Nebraska Soil & Water Conservation Foundation (NSWCF), and the Nebraska Chapter SWCS-UNL Foundation have announced five scholarship recipients for the spring 2025 semester. Each recipient was awarded $1,000.

CHADRON – Longtime historical researcher and interpreter Bill Gwaltney will present Beyond the Pale: African Americans in the Fur Trade of the Far West, at the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center Tuesday at 7 p.m. The event is co-sponsored by the Nebraska State Historical Society and the Galaxy Series. Admission is free and open to the public.

CHADRON – High school students from western Nebraska participated in the Eighth Annual Best of the West Competition on Jan. 29 at ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College. The contest follows Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) rules and is hosted to prepare contestants for the FBLA State Leadership Conference in Kearney, Nebraska, in April.
