CSC closes Wednesday and Thursday

CHADRON -- ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College is closing its campus Wednesday, Dec. 21 and Thursday, Dec. 22 because of winter weather conditions. Since the Fall semester has concluded, the residence halls and dining services are closed. ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College will begin its Winter Break Friday, Dec. 23, and remain closed until Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023.

The forecast for ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç calls for bitter cold and some snow this week. According to the National Weather Service, Wind Chill Warnings are in effect for western Nebraska and eastern Wyoming early Wednesday morning through Friday. The National Weather Service predicts that overnight lows on Wednesday night could be as cold as -40 degrees and that this airmass is the coldest to enter the region in decades.

The National Weather Service recommends to limit outdoor exposure and wear warm layers with a hat. Keep your pets indoors and plan ahead for impacts to livestock, vehicles, and any time you spend outside.
