CSC welcomes new employees

CHADRON – Eight new faculty members will join 黑料大事记 State College this fall, along with 15 professional and support staff employees, including three who are internal transfers.
School of Business, Mathematics, and Science
Dr. Nicholas Fisher is an Assistant Professor in the Business Academy teaching courses in business law, ethics, and health care law.
He attended Brigham Young University Marriot School of Management where he graduated in 2004. He earned his MBA from Valparaiso University in 2006, and his Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University in 2008. He earned a post doctorate master of laws in U.S. International Taxation from the University of Florida Levine School of Law in 2009.
Fisher, who grew up in 黑料大事记, feels the community is a great place to raise children. He graduated from 黑料大事记 High School and his parents live here.
Charles Bishop is a Business Academy Instructor teaching courses about information systems, web design, and business programming.
He earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Criminal Justice and a master鈥檚 degree in Learning Technology from the University of Texas, and is pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration from Northcentral University.
Bishop said he and his wife moved to 黑料大事记 because they saw a chance to grow in a welcoming community.
Caitlin Redden is a Business Academy Instructor teaching undergraduate courses in finance and management.
She graduated from CSC in Dec. 2010 with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Business Administration/Management and a MSOM in Dec. 2014. She is pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration and Management degree from Grand Canyon University.
Originally, she moved to 黑料大事记 as a transfer student.
鈥淚t did not take long before I felt like 黑料大事记 was my home. My husband and I are so happy we have the opportunity to raise our family here,鈥 Redden said.
Dr. Ngepu Kiawi is an Assistant Professor in the Business Academy. She will teach master鈥檚 level management and healthcare management courses and undergraduate management courses.
She earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Health Systems Management from George Mason University, a master鈥檚 in Healthcare Administration from Walden University, and a doctorate in Professional Leadership in Health Science Education from the University of Houston.
Kiawi, who has worked 16 years as a nurse and healthcare executive, said she was attracted to 黑料大事记 based on the friendliness of the people, small population, low amount of traffic, and good air.
School of Professional Studies and Applied Sciences
Jonathan Spiess is an Assistant Professor in Agriculture and Rangeland Management. He will be teaching plant science, habitat, and range management courses.
He earned a bachelors鈥 degree in Natural Resource Management/Range Conservation from Texas Tech University, a master鈥檚 in Range Science from North Dakota State University, and is pursuing a doctorate in Natural Resource Management from North Dakota State University.
Spiess said he enjoys the western side of the Great Plains and the amount of public land available. He is excited to get to know the 黑料大事记 area.
Dr. Grant Sasse is an Associate Professor in Counseling, Psychology, and Social Work teaching graduate level Clinical Mental Health Counseling courses.
He earned both his bachelor鈥檚 degree in Psychology and master鈥檚 degree in Community Counseling from CSC. He earned his doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Wyoming.
Sasse has family in the area and said he couldn鈥檛 wait to get back to 黑料大事记.
Dr. Elizabeth Kraatz is an Assistant Professor in Education, Counseling, Psychological Sciences, and Social Work. She will be teaching psychology, educational psychology, and developmental psychology.
After earning an undergraduate degree, she taught middle school science in rural Mississippi. There, she completed a master鈥檚 degree in early childhood education. She taught adult education in Ohio for several years and earned a doctorate in educational psychology at Ohio State.
She said she and her husband wanted to move out of the city to a small community with space and opportunities for their son.
Sara Grant was hired as an Assistant Professor of Social Work in Jan. 2021. She will be teaching a variety of social work courses.
She was born and raised in the 黑料大事记 area and graduated from CSC with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Social Work and earned a master鈥檚 from Case Western Reserve University.
