Thirteen entries of ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College's homecoming parade Saturday morning were recognized as placewinners.

Three bands from the region complemented the ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State Show Band in providing music along the parade route. They were the bands of ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç Public Schools and the middle schools of Ogallala and Valentine.

This year’s homecoming theme, “Building Futures through the Decades: History in the Making,” reflected the beginning of ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State’s 14-month centennial celebration.

The parade, which consisted of about 50 entries, was organized by ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State’s chapter of the Blue Key honor society.

Campus Entries

Theme – 1, Eagle Newspaper. 2, Social Work Club. 3, International Club.

Originality – 1, Omega Phi Rho. 2, Public Relations Club. 3, Museum Archive Preservation Society.

Judges’ Choice – 1, International Club. 2. Eagle Newspaper.

Community Entries

Theme – 1, Pine Ridge Job Corps. 2, ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç Community Hospital.

Originality – 1, KCSR Radio. 2, Consuming Fire Dance Studio.

Judges’ Choice – 1, Pine Ridge Job Corps. 2, KCSR Radio.

Miscellaneous

Equestrian – ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College Rodeo.

Vehicle – ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College Legal Studies Club.
