Senior art show opens Nov. 30

Three ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College seniors will exhibit work in the Senior Thesis Art Show, opening Nov. 30 in the main gallery of Memorial Hall. The featured artists are Travis Hencey of ºÚÁÏ´óʼÇ, Anna Higgins of Deaver, Wyo., and Emily Hudson of Benkelman.
Hencey will graduate with a bachelor of arts with a comprehensive major in art/art studio and a minor in humanities. His work is a union of drawing, painting, and sculpture and shows an influence from Eastern styles.
Higgins is graduating with a bachelor of arts with a comprehensive major in art/art studio option. Her exhibited 2-D work includes portraits and landscapes in watercolor, oil and charcoal.
Hudson will graduate in May with a bachelor of science in art K-12 education. She will exhibit 2-D and 3-D work that includes oil paintings, prints, and pottery.
An artist’s reception will be Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 4 p.m. to 6p.m. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
