Gov. Heineman to speak at CSC Veterans Awareness Conference

In celebration of Salute to the Military Month, Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman will address veterans issues at the ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College Veterans Awareness Conference on Tuesday, Nov. 10. The event will be in the Student Center on the ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State campus. Topics to be covered include post-traumatic stress disorder, female veterans issues, benefits, substance abuse and family support.

The conference will begin at 9 a.m. with speaker Peter Henry, director of the Black Hills Health Care System. Heineman will address the conference from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. The event will conclude at 3:30 p.m. 

The ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College Social Work Communities and Organizations class will host the conference. Registration will run from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. The event is free to the public and lunch will be provided.
