Music department busy in April
Music enthusiasts will have many opportunities to hear the sounds of the ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College music department through the end of the month. Seven events remain in April. The Faculty Lounge, a jazz group consisting of CSC faculty members, will perform at Wrecker’s Roadhouse in downtown ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç at 8 p.m. Wednesday for the group’s final performance of the spring semester.
This weekend will feature performances by the wind symphony Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. in Memorial Hall and the choral ensembles at 3 p.m. Sunday at the ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç Arts Center.
The Community Symphonic Band’s spring concert will be Tuesday, April 15, in Memorial Hall.
Following that will be a pair of recitals by CSC faculty members in the Chicoine Atrium of the Sandoz Center. Una Taylor’s performance Friday, April 18, at 7:30 p.m. will be followed by a concert by Adam Lambert and Michael Stephens on Sunday, April 20, at 3 p.m.
The final event of the month is the instrumental and vocal jazz concert Saturday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m. in the Memorial Hall auditorium.
