CSC 'jazzing it up' for homecoming

Students will dive into a full schedule of events when returning from midterm break.
The week of Oct. 20 may start quietly, but ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College plans to "jazz it up" before Sunday rolls around.
CSC will pack a week's worth of homecoming activities into four days because students are on midterm break Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 20-21.
The theme of this year's celebration is "Jazz it Up on Bourbon Street at ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State." Following is a schedule of the week's activities:
Wednesday, Oct. 22 -- Lighting of C Hill begins at the Nelson Physical Activity Center parking lot at 6:30 p.m.; Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament, Student Center, 7:30 p.m.; Late Night at the Pit, Student Center, 9 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 23 -- Spirit Rally and Bonfire 6:30 p.m., south of High Rise Residence Hall.
Friday, Oct. 24 - Eagles Luncheon with President Janie Park and Athletic Director Brad Smith at the Student Center, noon; Campus Tours, 2-3:30 p.m., Sparks Hall; Brats and Burgers at the American Legion, 5-7 p.m.; Announcing of homecoming royalty finalists at the CSC Wind Symphony and Community Symphonic Band concert, 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 25 -- 5k run/walk. Registration at 7 a.m. at west entrance of the Nelson Physical Activity Center. race begins at 8 a.m.; Parade down Main Street, 9:30 a.m.; Homecoming Luncheon in the Student Center, 11 a.m.; Football vs. Colorado School of Mines, 1:30 p.m.; Announcing of homecoming royalty at halftime; Postgame gathering at Country Kitchen Restaurant; Homecoming Dance, Student Center, 9 p.m.
