Admissions coordinator presents in San Diego
A ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College admissions coordinator, Deb Smith, presented guidelines at a national conference last week to help recruiting professionals collaborate with other college employees. Smith’s presentation, “Recruiting with Academic and Athletic Departments,” was delivered at the annual EMAS Recruitment Pro & Telecounseling Pro User’s Workshop at San Diego on Wednesday-Friday, June 20-22.
“At many colleges and universities, there is not a lot of communication between admissions efforts and various departments, especially athletics,” Smith said. “At ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State, the admissions office strives to cooperate with faculty and coaches in recruiting, and those efforts are paying off.”
EMAS, an acronym for Education Management Action System, is a computer software package that ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State and other higher education institutions use to facilitate communications with potential students.
