Governor makes stop at CSC

Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman presented one of his office’s "admiralship" certificates to ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College President Janie Park during a visit to the campus Thursday.
Heineman, who appointed Park to the Nebraska Information Technology Commission in October 2005, said the admiralship, an honorary recognition, is a way of showing appreciation to those who work to improve Nebraska.
In addition to presenting the certificate, Heineman spoke and answered questions about his campaign from ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç residents for more than an hour. He addressed a number of topics, including higher education, water resources, immigration, property taxes, transportation and the battle against methamphetamines.
