Rischling to give trumpet recital

A trumpet recital will be presented by Joe Rischling of ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 17 in the Chicoine Atrium of the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center at ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College.
Rischling is giving the recital in partial fulfillment to earning his master’s degree at ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State. He received his bachelor’s degree from CSC in 1991 and is now in his fifth year as instrumental conductor in the ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç City Schools.
Rischling hopes to complete work on his master’s degree this summer. He is a student of Dr. William Winkle at CSC.
Selections for the recital will include “Concerto” by Alexander Arutunian, “Sounds From the Hudson” by Herbert L. Clarke and “Toot Suite” by Claude Bolling.
The recital will be open to the public without charge.
