Couple crowned at Winter Formal

Jessi Moore of ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç and Brandon Doke of Ainsworth were crowned ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State’s Winter Magic Formal queen and king on Saturday night. Moore and Doke, who are dating each other, were chosen by a vote of ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State’s students. There were 43 candidates for the honor.
Moore, who is the reigning Miss Great Plains, is a junior studying human biology. She graduated from Gering High School. Doke, who played in ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State’s basketball game against Colorado Christian earlier Saturday evening, is a senior studying biology-environmental studies.
Earning first runner-up were Karissa Johnson of Hershey and Michael Blount of Valentine. Aster Yitayew of Ethiopia and Corey Wasserburger of Fort Worth, Texas, were second runner-up. The third runner-ups were Anita Bartlett of ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç and Dane Schroder of Stapleton.
