Celebration set for Women's History Month

ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College on Wednesday will present “Weaving Women into History,” a celebration to recognize Women’s History Month. The event will be at the Chicoine Atrium of the Sandoz Center from 7-10 p.m. It is open to the public free of charge.

A number of speakers and entertainers have been booked for the event. They include Grete Bodøgaard of Volin, S.D., a professional artist, tapestry weaver and educator who is originally from Norway. Local artist Gwanetha Neff will also give a presentation about weaving and fiber arts. She is the wife of Dr. Jerry Neff, CSC assistant professor of education. In addition, a local comic group, the Menopause Sisters, plans to perform its musical routine.

Child care will be provided for ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State students free of charge.

The celebration is being sponsored by the CSC Art Guild and CSC Diversity Committee.
