Ag Club hosts showmanship contest

Twenty-two youths from ages three through 18 participated in the third annual Round Robin Showmanship Contest hosted by the agriculture program at ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State College recently.
In conjunction with the competition, eight ºÚÁÏ´óÊÂ¼Ç State students were involved in a judging contest. Layne Sievers of Randolph won the livestock portion and Myra Hipke of Stuart won the plant identification contest.
Following are the showmanship results by division:
Pee Wee Division
Beef and overall champion—Alaina Riesen, ºÚÁÏ´óʼÇ; sheep—Nathan Watson, Whitney; horse—Devin Beaver, Crawford; rabbit—Peyton Beaver, Crawford; swine—Brooke Howard, Whitney.
Junior Division
Beef, rabbit and overall champion—Lakin Beaver, Crawford; swine and horse—Crystal Schuhmacher, ºÚÁÏ´óʼÇ; sheep—Tanner Lembke, Hemingford.
Senior Division
Rabbit, swine and overall champion—Cody Wells, Gordon; sheep—Stephen McGannon, Whitney; beef—Cassidy Emerson, Crawford; horse—Taya Lembka, Hemingford.
